We’ve upgraded our PyGirls learning platform to make learning and mentoring simpler and more connected. The new version introduces a unified login between the learning platform and our main site, pygirls.io.
Unified Login & Automatic Account Creation
When PyGirls and volunteers log in to their pygirls.io dashboard for the first time, an account on the new learning platform is created automatically. A new “Learn” button now appears in their dashboard, providing direct access to the learning environment.
Single Sign-On Experience
Clicking “Learn” logs users in automatically — no separate credentials are needed. On first login, they’ll simply approve a one-time security policy. From there, PyGirls can access lessons and materials, while volunteers can also track attendance and manage sessions.
Parents continue to register their daughters and manage their profiles at pygirls.io — the process remains unchanged.
Each PyGirl’s learning platform account is automatically linked to her http://pygirls.io profile. Parents can set or reset passwords in their dashboard and should share them with their PyGirls before the first session.
Volunteers log in once via pygirls.io to access their session dashboard, schedules, and materials. The new platform allows you to manage sessions and attendance directly, with all existing data and resources successfully migrated.
All existing data from old learning platform is successfully migrated.
The new platform has a refreshed look, but the learning flow is the same.
The old learning platform is disabled.
